What is a Full-Stack Developer?
A Full-Stack Developer is a professional who works on both the front-end and back-end of web applications. They have expertise in multiple technologies, including databases, server management, APIs, and user interface design.
Conclusion:
Coding is a valuable skill that not only enhances career prospects but also fosters creativity and logical thinking.

Week 1 - Class 1 - Setting Up

On this day and night, we learned which programs are used.

Week 1 - Class 2 - Introduction to HTML

Date: 2024/12/19

On this day, we learnt the basics of HTML.

Programs:
- VS-Code
- Website drafting web software like Figma for quick prototyping/drafting designs of website
- Some continuation on using console

Week 2 - Class 1 - Introduction to Github

Date: 2024/12/24

On this day, we learnt the basics of Github and CSS

Before Class:
- At work, since it's near Christmas I played around with chatgpt to create websites
- Website 1: Asked Chatgpt to create an online calculator
- Website 2: Asked chatgpt to create a quick OCR webapp
- Website 3: Asked chatgpt to create minesweeper game. Troubleshoot a bit since some functions like marker is not working
- Website 4: Asked chatgpt to create a battleship board game. It works, but the opponent player does not follow actual battleship size (its random boxes)
- Website 5: Asked chatgpt to create a knockoff whatsapp webapp. Complete with upload image. Very rudimentary
- Website 6: Asked chargpt to create a basic image board website. Able to type and display message too but no server backend so all chats will be removed if refreshed
- Tried other AI chatbots to recreate the same websites, my conclusion is. Great: Chatgpt4o, Claude. Good-ish: Gemini. Average to bad for html: Qwen, Cohere, LLama.
- Conclusion: AI is very useful for learning.
Github:
- First-time setup like git remote set-url (insert githup repo link here)
- Source control and some source tree extension
- How to create own repo. Accidentally added readme.md which makes it unable to push
- Created a new repo without readme.md. Set git remote set-url to that repo and then stage and push
- Updated all-journals.html. Pushed to new repo. Didn't see the changes on github web
- Found out I made another branch called commit-1
- Update this journal and push it to commit-1
CSS:
- Create a new css file to contain the styles and then link them to other html
- Background color
- Borders, dash/dots, padding, margins
- Added new interactivity like article:hover so this journal entry will also
- Updated all-journals.html. Pushed to new repo. Didn't see the changes on github web
- Found out I made another branch called commit-1
Week 2 Assignment:
- Explore CSS and then do the website design thingy
